Lisa Wilbourn Wins ACTE Award...

Co-Op Teacher and DECA Advisor at Grenada Career and Technical School Mrs. Lisa Wilbourn was recently awarded the Association for Career and Technical Educators Outstanding Teacher in Community Service Award for the State of Mississippi (ACTE). This award was created to recognize teachers with
significant accomplishments and outstanding leadership in programs and activities that promote community involvement. Nomination requirements for this award included the following teacher criteria: employed full-time, classroom/laboratory teachers in a career and technical education program, and have made a significant contribution toward training, motivating, and inspiring their peers and students to become involved in community programs and projects.
Mrs. Wilbourn will be representing the Grenada School District at the Region IV conference in April in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She will be competing against the states of New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. The winner from the New Mexico competition will compete at Nationals in November in Atlanta, Georgia.
