Tax Credit Procedures
for Grenada Early
1. Contact the collaborative lead partner, Kim Ezelle (601)927-4832, Rodney Murphy (662)417-9717, or Bo Surrell (662)417-5188.
2. Verification will be made with the Mississippi Department of Education to confirm that the tax credit cap has not been reached.
3. Mississippi Department of Education will issue a receipt letter documenting the tax credit qualifying payment.
4. Claim the state tax credit when filing state income taxes. Use form 80-401, which can be found on the IRS Department of Revenue's website.
Individuals or corporations who make a contribution to support the local matching fund of the Grenada Early Learning Collaborative will be eligible to receive a 1:1 state tax credit for up to $1,000,000.
