| The Grenada High School Mu Alpha Theta group recently traveled to Columbus to compete in the state Mu Alpha Theta competition at Mississippi School of Math and Science. The GHS Calculus group competing Alpha Theta consisted of, back l to r,Math Instructor Mr. Lyle Williams, Isy Kipapa, Chanse Travis, Alex Vance, Sabin Neely, Adam Lea, front l to r, Thomas Sykes, Angel Moore, Amanda Hargrove, Devyn Downey, Jesse Thomason, Susan Barfield, not pictured, Fair Pender, Meg Logan, Brittany Eikner. The Calculus group placed 7th overall on the written test, with Thomas Sykes placing 9th individually on the Calculus written test. | The Grenada High School Mu Alpha Theta group recently traveled to Columbus to compete in the state Mu Alpha Theta competition at Mississippi School of Math and Science. Grenada placed 6th in Potpourri competition. Members of the Potpourri group are, l to r, Chanse Travis, Alex Vance, Isy Kipapa, and not pictured, Fair Pender. | Mu Alpha Theta (honorary math organization) Grenada High School students recently participated in the convention activities on April 2 and 3 in Jackson, Mississippi. The group competed in many different competitions and placed in many categories. For the Calculus written test, Grenada placed 4th overall statewide. Twenty-three of Mississippi's top schools competed in the contest. Our Grenada team had two students who placed in the top 10 individual scores. These students are Meg Logan, 9th, and Thomas Sykes, 4th. | Mu Alpha Theta (honorary math organization) Grenada High School students recently participated in the convention activities on April 2 and 3 in Jackson, Mississippi. The group competed in many different competitions and placed in many categories. Twenty-three of Mississippi's top schools competed in the contest.In the Hustle competition, pictured above, l to r, Katie Barfield, Scott Sisk, Susan Barfield, and Thomas Sykes placed 10th overall. In the Potpourri competition, Brittany Eikner, Fair Pender, and Alex Vance achieved 9th place. In the Relay competition, Shae Golding, Cody Hill, Stacey Holmes, and Isy Kipapa placed 7th. Another school competition was the Interschool Test, in which 25 students worked together and placed 6th overall. | Mu Alpha Theta (honorary math organization) Grenada High School students recently participated in the convention activities on April 2 and 3 in Jackson, Mississippi.
