If you haven’t noticed already, it’s Christmas time!

Christmas lights, parades, and other special holiday events and traditions abound this time of year, and the annual Visions’ Christmas program is no exception. This year, the Grenada High School Visions’ Showchoir is made up of 53 talented young singers and dancers, and the 2013 Christmas show, entitled, The Gift Inside, promises to be their best show to date
.
The show focuses on the Christmas season. Visions’ members learn the lesson that giving is the reason for the season all too well as they begin packing and delivering Christmas Shoeboxes for needy children.

As the show unfolds, the main character, a foster child, realizes that helping others is more than just spending money. He learns that helping is about giving of yourself, and that the true gift of Christmas is an open heart and a giving spirit. Songs to be performed during the show include: Christmas Is; Shake Up Christmas, Twelve Days of Christmas (with the 12 Days of Christmas Kids); Twas the Night Before Christmas; The Most Wonderful Day of the Year; Elf Medley (with Entertainers); Santa’ s on His Way (with Pizzazz); Silver Bells; Joyful, Joyful; and This Christmas.

Talents in Visions’ range from singing, dancing, instrumental performance, set design, and sound and lighting management to staging. This incredible group of performers entertains at local events, nursing homes, local club meetings, and other events. Visions’ occasionally performs out of state, and most recently performed at Disney World’s Downtown Disney’s main stage over the Thanksgiving break. The group traveled with chaperones and school supporters to Orlando, Florida where they entertained a crowd of over 400. Visions’ is under the direction of Jenni Winter, Director; Kim Porter, Assistant Director; and Jan Walton, Costume Director.
