Association of Partners in Education recognized the winners of the first
annual Governor's Awards for Outstanding School-Community Partnerships
at the 17th annual Partners in Education Seminar.
Winners in each of the four award categories are as follows:
Elementary Partnership-The Kidzeum, Grenada School District, Grenada, MS Secondary Partnership-Aberdeen Middle School BASF, Aberdeen School District, Aberdeen, MS
District-Wide Partnership-Association for Excellence in Education/Jones County and Laurel School Districts, Laurel, MS
Visionary Award -Ask for More Collaborative, Jackson Public Schools, Jackson, MS.
Selection criteria included the specified needs and goals of the partnership; activities; communication with students, parents, staff, employees, and news media; and effectiveness.
