“Just as the anchor is the age-old
symbol
of hope, this program represents our gratitude to our staff for their
service in the education of our community’s children.”
-Superintendent Dr. David Daigneault
One of the components that the High Hopes Partnership
offers local businesses is the opportunity to participate in appreciation initiatives for GSD employees. In the Fall of 2007, The Grenada School District
and a number of partners joined together to create the HOPE appreciation
program for educators. Teachers and GSD staff are eligible to receive special
discounts from participating businesses by presenting their GSD badges.Former Chamber of Commerce Director Philip Heard states,“It’s important for our educators
to realize that we appreciate their significant contributions to individual students and the future success of our community.”
Our High Hopes Partners in Education Program began
in 1988 as an alliance between the Grenada School District and the entire
community. This coalition was designed to strengthen the resources and
positively impact each member of the partnership.
